Built n' Tallied is a construction job costing and project management application for small contractors. The service includes estimates, job costing, photo documentation, invoicing, a client portal, and optional AI-powered features.
AI features are entirely optional and must be explicitly enabled by you.

How AI processing works: When you use an AI feature, your input is sent to Amazon Bedrock, a managed AI service by Amazon Web Services (AWS). This means:
PII Protection: Before any data is sent to AI, Built n' Tallied automatically strips personally identifiable information including phone numbers, email addresses, social security numbers, credit card numbers, and street addresses. You will see generic placeholders (e.g., [PHONE], [EMAIL]) in the AI output where PII was removed.
You can enable or disable AI features at any time in Settings. AI features are OFF by default.
Your data is yours. We do not sell, share, or license your data to third parties. You can export all your data (jobs, clients, line items) as CSV at any time from Settings. If you cancel your subscription, your data is preserved for 90 days before deletion.
Data is stored in Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL) within the US-East-1 region. Files (photos, PDFs) are stored in Amazon S3. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3.
Built n' Tallied costs $49/month flat, billed monthly via Stripe. There are no per-user fees. Your 15-day free trial requires a credit card. You will not be charged during the trial period. After 15 days, billing begins at $49/month. You may cancel at any time through Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. We do not raise prices on existing customers without 90 days notice.
You agree to use Built n' Tallied only for lawful construction business purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and estimates you send to clients. AI-generated estimates are suggestions — you must review and adjust before sending to clients.
Built n' Tallied is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of revenue, data, or business arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated estimates. AI estimates are approximations and should always be verified by a qualified professional before use.
